Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL Will Not Be Launched In India

Google just released its newest generation of products including the much awaited Pixel 4.

Pixel 4 release doesn’t have any kinds of surprise element obviously.

Because everything associated with Pixel 4 is something that we already knew but in any case Google has formally introduced Pixel 4 into the market.

But by the end of the event we started hearing rumors that Google may not be releasing Pixel 4 in India.

And a few hours after that Google confirmed that it indeed will not release Pixel 4 in India but will remain continue to provide Pixel 3a and future pixel devices and hardware products into India.

Needless to say people who have been waiting, analyzing, comparing different devices to get one for themselves in the holiday season were left disappointed.

What is being speculated right now in addition to other reasons is that Google couldn’t capture the necessary licences since the 60 gigahertz frequency band that the devices Soli Radar chip works on is banned for public use owing to security reasons.

To the device inherently the chip is very important because it also works with facial recognition system since pixel 4 doesn’t come with an incorporated fingerprint sensor.

Now you may question can Pixel 4 model be made without the Soli Radar Chip just for Indian Users.

Because India is a big market, right ?. Yes and No.

Indian market is big but not big enough for Pixel devices.

Because if you look at the metrics only 80,000 pixel 2 phones were sold.

Therefore as far as manufacturing Pixel 4 without Soli Chip is concerned. Please don’t keep your hopes up.

Is there a software fix for this. We don’t know that yet, but isn’t it better to have a complete phone rather than a handicapped one.

*cough* *cough* iPhone 11.

There are many new features introduced in Google Pixel 4 like 90 Hz refresh rate screen, night mode with Astro photography and motion gesture control.

Check It Out Here.

Tiny Robots Making Huge Objects

Do you know how a plane or other hardware unit like a truck is assembled ?.

There are these sub assembly units where different parts of these trucks are assembled. Like there is an assembly unit for engines, for steering, for suspension etc.

And then there is a main assembly unit wherein all these sub assemblies can be brought together for final assembly, to finally create a full fledged mechanical body.

So if I told you that all these sub assemblies can be done in one place.

And then all the main assembly can then happen in one place, what would you say to that.

Wouldn’t that be incredibly effective ?.

So with the help of these tiny robots, the students of MIT from the center for BITS and atoms are germinating an Idea wherein these robots can arrange an array of identical pieces to create a bigger unit.

The idea behind this is pretty simple.

Just like a large picture is a collection of different color pixels coming together.

In the similar sense the largest structures are just the Assembly of identical units which in turn are the Assembly of nodes and struts.

These robots are connected by a hinge and can be programmed to move from voxel to voxel to add in the tiny units to form a larger assembly by repetitive action.

The immediate benefit of this technology will of course be increased automation and the decreased space that is right now required to create assemblies in different geographical spaces.

The manufacturing industries can make use of this to create in-house assembly units and decrease manufacturing costs in the process.

AMD Continues It’s Market Disrupting Outlook.

AMD has already shown again and again how creatively it is disrupting the CPU market for good for everyone.

Right from the time it released, the first gen Ryzen CPUs.

There was a time when the 2 cores were considered mainstream and 6 cores the ultra high end segment.

And now octa-cores are becoming mainstream and on HEDT’s side we are going to see CPUs touching 64 cores very soon.

This time AMD has brought smile to laptop enthusiasts by announcing that it will release 7 nm mobility CPUs in the first quarter of 2020 that will bring AMD gaming laptops price down to just 699$.

Hurraah !!. Right.

Way to go AMD.

The Google Stadia Controller Wireless Conundrum

The upcoming game streaming service from google aka Stadia is one of the most anticipated introduction as far as gaming is concerned.

For people who don’t know with Stadia as a game streaming service you will be able to stream your favorite games on your favorite devices without the need of any hardware on your side.

Google’s game servers will do all the grunt work and will provide you playable frame rates right to your devices.

People are looking forward to the various aspects that Stadia is going to bring in, in this now very popular technology in gaming.

But the first party controller for Stadia seems like will not have a wireless connection for PC and consoles at its launch.

At its launch the wireless play with Stadia controller will only be available on TV using Chromecast Ultra.

The official Stadia controller will not work wirelessly with phones, PC, or tablets when the service goes live on 19th of November.

What that means is when Stadia goes live any device that isn’t a chromecast ultra will have options wherein either,

Game streaming services are becoming increasingly popular owing to the portability and the lack of hardware requirement.

How Stadia is going to fare against other services ?.

Only time will tell.

See ya in the next one.
